"Traffic on your nerves?
There's a reason why. The Traffic Operations Committee received a report detailing the 2011 statistics for Coronado at their May 23rd meeting.
93,400 vehicles, on average, enter and leave Coronado every day.
They mostly come on weekdays between 6 and 7am and leave between 3 and 4pm, except in the summer, when it is just as busy on weekends as well."

If 93,400 cars enter and leave Coronado each day over the bridge, there are about 37,360 (40%) that break the speed limit! Many are moving from 60 to 80 MPH. It is a wonder that a crash has not sent a a few cars over the side of the bridge at that speed for an abrupt water landing! Where is the CA Highway Patrol? Probably asleep in the large building on the Coronado side of the bridge that the CHP uses for ??, with a "DO NOT ENTER" on the doors.
WHY no speed enforcement?
