Meet Mr. Max, the handsome new gentleman at the Coronado Animal Care Facility! Max came to us when his family decided to expand their own and Max was relinquished.
Max is a male five year old Shepherd mix, with a brindle colored coat and a white blaze on his chest. Spending time with this guy is a joy, he has the personality and energy of a puppy. He is as healthy and fit as they come which lends itself to his athletic and playful personality. He loves playing with a tennis ball and would be a match for anyone in the "Tennis Ball Olympics"! His intelligence shows through as he develops strategies to get his tennis ball back into play.
Since Max has been in a household environment since he was 12 weeks old, he knows his basic commands and affectionate smiles and kisses come easily for him. When asked if he wants to go for a walk, he tilts his head in agreement! He gets along well with children and other dogs, but it is unknown if he had any felines in his past. Max is a bit hesitant with men, but as he gets to know them all is well.
Please take the time to meet Max, who loves to play and aims to please! The Coronado Animal Care Facility, located at 1395 First Street, next to the Ferry Landing is open every day between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm (except holidays). If you are interested in adopting Max, you must first complete a dog adoption application and meet with a PAWS of Coronado Dog Adoption Counselor.
