"In an effort to strengthen its security role for the Port of San Diego, the Harbor Police Department has formed a new training partnership with its fellow law enforcement officers at the Port of Los Angeles.
Harbor Police Chief John Bolduc will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Chief of the Port of Los Angeles Port Police Department, Ronald J. Boyd, on Friday, April 5, at 11 a.m. The signing ceremony will be held at the Harbor Police Department's Shelter Island substation, 1401 Shelter Island Drive in San Diego.
The Port of Los Angeles, in partnership with the State of California Emergency Management Agency and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, has developed the country's first Maritime Training Course, known as the Regional Maritime Law Enforcement Training Center. It was specifically designed to train state and local law enforcement personnel".
