As always, the MotorCars On MainStreet event was a huge success. For the first time, the event was held the week following the Coronado Flower Show, allowing attendees more time to stroll around and look at all the vehicles.
Coronado CAN (Community Association of Neighbors) entered a WWII 1944 original Jeep. It was a big hit as many veterans stopped by to share old war stories.
This is a photo of the Ridge family from Mission Valley enjoying a photo op in the WWII Jeep. David Ridge (the father) graduated from Coronado High School in 1989.
Coronado CAN had a booth set up next to the Jeep and many residents stopped by to chat and sign up as subscribers. Subscribers are sent the twice-monthly Coronado CAN email describing results of Council meetings, commission meetings and general information that residents might be interested in.
If you are interested in finding out more, you can read the Coronado CAN Brochure. If you would like to receive the bi-monthly email, subscribe to "The Residential Reporter".
