Gathering Hosted by Lee Mather Realtors
CORONADO – Coronado snowbirds, out-of-state visitors calling Coronado their winter home, congregated at Lee Mather Co., Realtors (LMCo) last week to meet and greet, and celebrate their collective “escape” from colder climates.
The party was attended by 25 winter residents, who
were greeted by a large tropical backcloth of palm trees and visions of
the South Seas. Along with exotic food and drink were party favors
and music with a Hawaiian theme.
“Our summer visitors are
treated to the 4th of July, so we thought, why not make a party for our
winter clients too,” said Mercedes Estrada, a 15-year veteran at LMCo.
“From
roughly December through March each year we have this very large
representation of out-of-state visitors who make Coronado their winter
home,” said Anthony DiVincenzo who joined LMCo in 2008. “The Inaugural
Winter Break Party gave us a chance to meet and greet our many
repeat, seasonal tenants, all under one roof, as a way of making
everyone feel more at home here in Coronado.”
To help
with introductions, the staff at LMCo gave each person in attendance
their own set of personalized business cards to hand out.
Snowbirds
from northern zones across the country and Canada attended. Families
from North Dakota, New York, Massachusetts, Oklahoma and British
Columbia were represented.
“It was an amazing assortment of
delicious food and drink,” said Norma Kamar, of Wellesley, MA in a thank
you note. “We had many interesting and lively conversations,” she
said of the new friends she made that evening – people she now looks
forward to seeing every winter.

Two dozen wintering visitors to Coronado enjoyed the "tropical" settings of Lee Mather Co., Realtors last week during a special meet and greet hosted by the Realtor. Seasonal tenants of the Realtor, it was LMCo's way of welcoming visitors to our city and helping to make new friends.
