On Wednesday, February 27, the Design Review Commission approved a request from the Cultural Arts Commission to install four public art panels on the four faces of the clock tower on the Coronado Plaza Building at 1330 Orange Ave. The property owner has donated the use of the space for the display of public art. The art panels will be designed, painted and donated by Coronado School of the Arts students and will be rotated or exchanged with new work on an annual basis. Jeff Tyler, a realtor with Lee Mather Company Realtors; Crown City Escrow with offices in Coronado Plaza; and Falletta Construction have also agreed to donate in support of the installation of the art panels.
