Are you a daily recycler or just when the mood hits you? It's just as easy to throw those items in the blue bin as it is to throw them in the garbage can. And you'll be helping the environment and the world we leave to future generations.
EDITOR'S NOTE: Remember to take your eWaste to the recycling center set up on Saturdays from 10am - 2pm in the alley beside the Coronado Fire Station (1001 Sixth Street). Besides old paint, batteries and chemicals, they will also accept:
- TVs
- Computers
- Stereos
- Computer monitors
- Hard Drives / CPUs
- Scanners
- Keyboards
- VCRs
- Radios
- Printers
- Fax machines
These items contain a significant level of lead and should not just be tossed in your regular trash receptacle. The recycling center is quick and easy. Just enter the alley by the CFD and the recycling team will greet you and remove all your eWaste items from your car while you sit in the driver's seat.
