At this week's City Council Meeting, the council selected the newly-created Transportation Commission from twenty applicants. The council decided to create the commission back in October 2010, following a Town Hall Meeting to discuss traffic and receive citizen input after the defeat of Prop H in the June 2010 election.
The commission was selected to represent the community as follows: three members from the "village", one member residing in the Coronado Shores, one member from the Coronado Cays, and two members selected at large.
The Transportation Commission will consist of the following members:
Village
Michael Giorgione
John Moutes
Richard Scharff
Shores
Douglas P. Crane
Cays
Phil Monroe
At Large
Jefferson Alison III
Patrick Garahan
Applications containing information about the seven new Transportation Commission members may be found in the 04.05.11 Coronado City Council Complete Agenda beginning on page 273/PDF page 319. Congratulations to all of the members of the Transportation Commission!
