To have "Crime Reports" sent to you in Coronado go to "crimemapping.com" and fill in the form, and the reports will be sent to your computer on a frequent bases. Check the" 2 mile radius". The "Police Blotter" in the local paper leaves many out. Be prepared!
The new agreements between the Navy and Coronado on aircraft flight paths and noise abatement will soon be completed for the new additional aircraft squadrons coming to NAS. The old Navy-Coronado flight rules have been violated daily on the approaches to runway 29 along the beach. You can count on the new rules being violated as well, so get involved, if you live near the beach. With more aircraft, the noise will be much worse than now. Guaranteed!
Earle Callahan
Personally, I wish folks like Earle Callahan would pack up and move to some place like Escondido or Alpine, where he doesn't have to hear or be bothered by those darn military aircraft.
I live a block from the beach and have been here the better part of 50-something years. The military and aircraft traffic is woven into the history and fabric of this community. If you don't like it, support it or want to tolerate it, just move out of town! The military was here WAY before you were. And I think most of us really appreciate those aircraft and the security and freedom they provide.

I live with Earle Callahan, and I totally agree with Dan's comments. And, surprising as it may seem, I KNOW Earle agrees too! I don't know what prompted him to mention the noise, because in our household we call it "sounds of freedom". I do know, however, he is adamant that the planes should follow the proper rules for flight paths, which are often violated, and that is what bothers him. As a carrier aviator, with a navy career of 31 years, he probably spread those sounds of freedom all over the world many times over. You might like to know I gave him 40 lashes with a wet noodle! :-) Nancy
