CORONADO, Calif. -- A Coronado school is making changes after suspicious incidents were reported in a military neighborhood.
The incident happened on Sept. 11 inside Silver Strand military housing. Residents said a man was shooting video and pictures from inside his car. When a concerned resident went to question him, he left. The resident wrote down his license plate number, which led police to a local rental car agency and then to Hawaii.
The encounter was initially called "suspicious" by authorities, including the Joint Terrorism Task Force.
Coronado Police Chief Lou Scanlon issued an email to residents, which read in part: "There is no connection to a potential threat or criminal conduct." But if you read the comments that appear at the bottom of the article, many people are still a little nervous about the report.
